GlossGenius is one of the best-known apps for beauty and wellness professionals, and for good reason. If you are deciding between it and Turnexify, here is how they compare on September 27, 2026. Prices move, so look at both pricing pages before you sign up for either.
The one real difference
GlossGenius is a studio register first: card readers, payments run by GlossGenius, inventory, memberships, and payroll, with a booking website attached.
Turnexify is your own place online first: a full website on your address, in English and Spanish, with booking on every page, paid into your own Stripe or Square account, and tools for showing your work.

What you pay
GlossGenius has three plans for salons and studios: Standard at $28 a month, Gold at $56, and Platinum at $168, a little less paid yearly. Standard is for one person who takes bookings; Gold allows up to nine people on the account. There is a 14-day trial.

Turnexify has a Free plan that stays free, Pro at $49 a month, and Business at $129, with 14% off paid yearly.

Where the money goes
On GlossGenius, card payments run through GlossGenius, powered by Stripe. You cannot connect your own Stripe or Square account. The rate is a flat 2.6% on every plan, and you can pass part or all of it to the client.
On Turnexify you connect your own Stripe or Square account. The money lands there, we take no percentage, and you pay your processor's standard card fees. Already on Square at the desk? Your online deposits land in the same account.
Your site, your address, your language
GlossGenius gives you a booking website on a GlossGenius address, with your photos, services, team, and colours. To use your own domain, its help centre says to forward the domain to that address.
Turnexify builds you a full site with pages for your services, your work, your team, and your story, from templates and themes you choose. On Pro it lives on a domain you own, with the certificate handled for you. Visitors read it in English or Spanish, and their booking emails come in the same language.
Both take deposits at booking, show your cancellation policy first, and can keep a card on file for no-show fees. On Turnexify, the exact sentence the client agreed to is saved with the booking, and a fee is never more than the visit.
Made for showing your work
These come with Turnexify. We checked GlossGenius's site and help centre for each.
- A Links page for your bio, with a QR code. One link for Instagram or TikTok, with your booking button first, your next opening, your work, and every way to reach you, plus a QR code in your colours. On every plan. GlossGenius's help centre suggests your booking site for the bio, and an outside tool for a QR code.
- Book This Look. A portfolio photo becomes something to book: the look, its service and extras, one price, and a short link that counts opens and bookings. On Pro.
- The share studio. Turn a look, a service, or a before and after into a story, post, or square image with your logo, your colours, and your booking line. On Pro.
- Courses and classes. Sell seats in a workshop or class online, never the same seat twice. GlossGenius's help centre says it does not support classes yet. On Pro.
- Before and afters on your site. A slider on your service and portfolio pages, shown only with the client's consent. On GlossGenius, before-and-after photos stay private in client records. On Pro.
- Promotions that apply themselves. Discounts on the days and hours you pick, with codes typed on your site. GlossGenius's help centre says its booking site has no promo codes. On Pro.

Pick by how your day runs
If your day runs on a register and a card reader, with stock on the shelf and a team on payroll, GlossGenius is built for that.
If your day runs on your own site, your social media, and your bookings, and you want the site, the address, and the money in your name, Turnexify is built for that.
Moving over
Turnexify can import your clients and appointments from GlossGenius, so you do not start with an empty book.
