Getting started
01How do I get an account?
Today, by talking to us. There is no self-service sign up yet; we set each business up by hand and walk through the first booking together. Pick a plan on the plans page or write to us, and we take it from there.
02How long until I can take a booking?
The same day. A booking page on a turnexify address, your services, your hours, and email confirmations are live as soon as the account is. Your own domain and card payments take a little longer, because your card processor (Stripe or Square) and your domain registrar each have their own steps.
03Do I need to know how to build a website?
No. You pick one of four templates and one of ten colour themes, upload your photographs, write your words, and publish. Every page on the site is a set of sections you can show, hide, reorder, and edit from the dashboard.
04Is Turnexify only for salons?
It is for anyone whose day is a row of appointments and whose work is worth showing: nails, hair, barbering, tattoo, skin, lashes, massage, makeup, braids, piercing, photography, personal training. It does not assume a chair or a studio. It assumes time you sell.
05Is it in Spanish?
Yes, on every plan. Your public site, the booking flow, the emails your clients receive, and the dashboard you work in are all available in English and Spanish, and each client sees the language they chose.
Plans and billing
06What does yearly billing cost?
14% less than paying monthly. Pro is $42 a month billed as $504 a year, instead of $49 a month, which saves 14%. Business is $110 a month billed as $1,320 a year, instead of $129 a month, which saves 14%. The year is paid up front and renews once a year.
07Can I change plans in the middle of a month or a year?
Moving up happens right away, and Stripe charges only the difference for the days that remain in your period. Moving down takes effect at your next renewal, so you keep what you paid for until then.
08Do you take a percentage of my bookings?
No. Your plan is a flat price. Money your clients pay you goes through Stripe or Square, whichever you connect, to an account you control, and their card processing fee is the only cut anyone takes. We never hold your money.
09Does Free need a card?
Yes. A card goes on file when you start and nothing is charged to it. It keeps the spam out and makes moving to a paid plan a single click rather than a checkout.
10Are taxes included?
Prices are in US dollars and do not include any sales tax or VAT that applies where you are. Stripe adds it at checkout when it does.
11How do I cancel?
From your account settings, at any time. You keep access until the end of the month or year you have paid for. We do not refund part of a period, and we do not make you write to anyone to leave.
12What happens to my data if I move to a lower plan?
Nothing is deleted. What the lower plan does not include stops working until you come back: extra team members past the seat limit cannot sign in, looks past the portfolio limit leave your site, and a domain of your own forwards to your turnexify address. Money already taken is still refunded, and gift cards already sold are still redeemed. Upgrade again and it is all back as it was.
13What is an add-on?
A service, not a switch. Turnexify Studio designs you a site, Turnexify Domain registers and manages a domain for you, and Turnexify Concierge does the migration and setup work you would rather not do yourself. Each starts with a conversation and ends with a fixed price; nothing is added to your plan without you asking.
14If Turnexify registers my domain, who owns it?
You do. We register it in your name, point it at your site, and keep it renewed. Managing it is the service; the domain itself was never ours.
If you cancel, you transfer the domain out: we give you the authorization code, or move it to your own registrar or Vercel team. Your domain remains yours. It does not stay with us because it came with a package.
Bookings and payments
15Can two people book the same slot?
No. The database refuses the second booking, not just the screen. Two clients tapping the same time at the same second get one appointment and one polite “that time just went”.
16How do deposits work?
Per service, you choose no deposit or a fixed amount. When a client books a service that asks for one, they pay it on a secure Stripe or Square page before the booking is confirmed. Your cancellation terms are shown and accepted at the same moment, so there is no argument later about what was agreed.
Percentage deposits and paying the full amount online are not built yet.
17What happens with no-shows and late cancellations?
You set the free-cancellation window and the terms for a late cancellation and a no-show, in both languages. Clients accept them at booking, and a deposit you took stays yours under those terms. Charging a saved card automatically after a no-show is not built yet.
18Do clients need an account?
No. A client books with a name and an email address. Their confirmation carries a private link to see, move, cancel, or check in to the appointment. Nobody has to remember a password to get a haircut.
19Do you send text message reminders?
Not yet. Confirmations, reminders, receipts, and waitlist offers go by email, in the client’s language, with retries if a delivery fails. SMS is on the list, and this answer will change when it ships.
20What is the waitlist?
A client who wants a time that is taken can join a waitlist from the service page, or you can add them from the desk. When a matching slot opens, the first person on the list gets an email offer that holds for ten minutes, then it moves to the next.
21Does it sync with Google Calendar?
Yes, per person on your team. Appointments are pushed to their Google Calendar, and busy time from Google is pulled in so nobody is booked over a dentist appointment. Outlook and Apple Calendar are not connected yet.
Your site
22Can I use my own domain?
On Pro and Business. You add the domain in settings, we show you the two DNS records to set, and we check them for you until they are live. Certificates are issued automatically.
23What is Book This Look?
Your portfolio, made bookable. Each look you post can carry the service, the add-ons, and the price it took. A client taps the photograph and lands in the booking flow with all of that already chosen.
24What is the inquiries inbox?
A way for a client to send you a reference photograph and ask what it would cost. You reply with an offer: a price, a duration, and the service. They book from a private link. Nothing has to be settled over a message thread.
25Can clients buy gift cards on my site?
Not yet. You sell gift cards from the dashboard, email the code to the buyer, and redeem it at the desk. Online purchase by clients is on the list.
26Can I see who visits my site?
On Business. You get traffic, where it came from, which services and looks drew interest, and how far people got in the booking flow. There is no third-party analytics script on your site; we count it ourselves and show only you.
Clients and data
27Who owns my client list?
You do. Your clients’ names, contact details, history, and notes belong to your business. We hold them on your behalf and never use them for anything else. Ask, and we delete everything.
28Can I export my data?
Not from a button yet. Write to us and we will hand it over in a portable form. A self-service export is on the list.
29Can I add my team?
Yes. Each person has their own hours, their own services, and their own sign-in with a role. Free includes one team member, Pro up to five, and Business as many as you have.
30Is my data separate from other businesses?
At the database level, not only in the application. Every table is locked so that one business cannot read another’s records even if the application has a bug, and that isolation is tested on every change.
31Where is it stored?
In the United States. If you or your clients are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR notice explains what that means and how we handle it. For anything else, write to hello@turnexify.com.
